Ni hao Posh Pedlar,
Thank you for visiting my blog and liking it. I am so glad to have discovered you as a result as you have some really interesting items!
BTW the ‘scent bottle’ may not be a ‘scent’ bottle – it may be a Chinese snuff bottle, it certainly looks like one. But you may know better 😉

Good evening!
How do you do?
Thank you for the information regarding the snuff bottle. How fascinating.
I certainly don’t know better… it’s good to keep on learning. Interesting that a snuff bottle would have such a small aperture.
Snuff taken in England centuries ago would be kept in a small box, and pinched between the fingers.
Hope to see you again soon Jo.

Hi Posh Pedlar – you have a lovely blog! I’ve just added myself as a follower. Loved your post on visiting Cornwall; two really dear friends of mine live there. Cheers from a chilly evening in the states!

Brass Monkeys here too.
Cornwall is fabulous.
The only downside it takes just under 7 hours to get there… I could be in New York quicker!
Thanks for following!

Just latched on to your website which has caused me quiet mirth (the musings not the items for sale) . Thought this might amuse you. I went into a book shop today and asked which section I would find ‘Jewels, A Secret History.’ Dopey shop assistant said she didn’t know it, the computer was down so she couldn’t search for it and urged me out with her eyes. I then remembered the author was Finlay and expected her to leap to her leaden feet but instead she pointed right and said ‘you can look over there- I know we don’t have that one but there is a book about Auschwitz.’
